Grilled Ham Steak Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 1 Sugardale Ham Steaks
  • 8 slices grainy bread
  • 8 slices fresh mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup arugula
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Heat a grill to medium to medium-high heat. While the grill heats, in a bowl combine olive oil, minced garlic, and rosemary.
  3. Place the ham steak on the grill and brush on rosemary oil mixture. Grill for 4 minutes. Flip and brush the other side with the rosemary oil mixture. Grill for 4 minutes.
  4. Place bread slices on a tray. On 4 of the slices, place 2 slices of mozzarella. Place into the oven for about 5 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread is toasted.
  5. When ham steak is done, cut into 4 pieces. Place onto the melted cheese. On the bare slices of bread, divide the Dijon mustard evenly across the 4 slices. Spread.
  6. Top arugula on ham and place tops of bread on.
  7. Serve.
