Grilled Hawaiian Ham Skewers

Ingredients

  • 1 Sugardale Prestige Bone-In Ham Steak, cubed
  • ½ cup pineapple juice
  • 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. ketchup
  • 2 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. minced garlic
  • ½ tsp. onion powder
  • ½ medium red onion, cubed
  • ½ yellow bell pepper, cubed
  • ½ green bell pepper, cubed
  • ½ fresh pineapple, cubed

Directions

  1. In a small saucepan whisk together the pineapple juice, brown sugar, ketchup, soy sauce, garlic and onion powder. Bring the sauce to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 7-10 minutes.
  2. Assemble the skewers by layering the cubed ham steak, onion, peppers and pineapple evenly on 4 skewers. Using a pastry brush, coat each skewer with the sauce.
  3. Heat your grill to medium-high heat and sear the skewers on each side for about 5 minutes until heated through and peppers and onion begin to soften.
  4. Remove from grill and serve immediately.
